Holiday Game to Play with Friends

Before she passed in 2007, Joy Weinstock, created a New Year’s Eve game to capture the spirit of new beginnings. If you are having a party with friends this year, copy all or some of the questions below, plus a few of your own. Fold each one and place them in a hat/bowl. One at a time, each guest answers the question(s) they draw. It’s a fun way to review your past, envision your future and get to know your friends.

What was the highlight of your year?

What are your three top priorities for 2012?

What current situation would you like to see change in 2012? What action can you take toward that change?

What happened to you this year that changed your life?

What happened to you this year that came as a complete surprise?

What would be the best thing that could happen for the benefit of the whole world in 2012?

What did you buy last year that made a difference in your life?

What major purchase would you like to be able to make in 2012?

What would you like to learn more about in 2012?

What changes did you make in yourself this year?

What secret desire did you satisfy this year?

How do you intend to take better care of yourself in 2012?

What was the most bizarre (or funniest) thing that happened to you this year?

What was the most disappointing thing that happened to you this year?

What did you do this year that you regret or thought you would never do?

What happened in the world in 2011 that bothered you the most?

What did you do this year that you are especially proud of?

Is there a place you have not been you would like to travel to?

Do you have a project you want to complete next year? If so, what? If not, why not?

Who did you most appreciate this year and why?

Who did you choose to do something anonymously for this year that blessed their life?

The days remaining in 2011 are numbered. Fill them with GIGGLES, JOY, APPRECIATION and FUN!
