Avatar, the movie

If you have been to the movies recently (Dec 2009 into Jan 2010), you know which movie uses, “I see you,” as a greeting, instead of, “How are you?”  “I see you” as used in this story means seeing to the core of a person and acknowledging the connection you have.  It is a beautiful statement when you ponder it. Isn’t that what we all want at the deepest level of our being — to be seen by another beyond our surface behaviors and opinions, to be recognized and acknowledged as the Presence that we are?

We were promised a single event before the end of 2009 that would affect us all. A terrorist attack?  A global meltdown?  Some imagined the worst, but that’s not what happened. I think the event was Avatar. It is simultaneously heart-opening and heart-breaking.  It portrays two states of consciousness: one more evolved than the other.  One state has human adults acting like children, taking what they want, motivated by ignorance, power and greed. The other consciousness is expressed through a race of blue cat-like people living in peace, harmony and balance with each other and their environment.

FYI from Oprah’s website —-
Set in the future on a moon named Pandora, Avatar tells the story of man's attempts to trick an indigenous population into letting humans mine a precious resource. Every second of this nearly three-hour epic story was born in Cameron's imagination. With a team of 3,000 people and 10,000 computers, Cameron pushed the limits of filmmaking and helped invent new 3D technology to bring his fantasy world to life. Four and a half years later, Cameron's vision became a reality on the big screen released December 2009. To bring this lush world to life, Cameron hired a botanist to create, design and name every single plant. Since making the film, Cameron says his appreciation for nature has only grown. "I look at trees differently now. I'll look at a tree and say, 'Wow, that's a beautiful tree.' I would never have said that before."

With no time for popcorn, this fast-paced story reaches in to open your heart. The environment that James Cameron creates is so beautiful and inviting, that my immediate impulse when leaving the theater was to turn around, go back, return to Pandora. I am ready to live in a place like that!  When you view it at an IMAX theater in 3D, you feel you are really there. Thanks James Cameron for the vision. All awards that he receives for this work of art are well deserved. Don’t miss it!

Avatar is rippling through the collective consciousness, stirring emotions and inspiring hope, love and connection with the environment and each other. As we evolve our consciousness into a more mature awareness and recognize the reality of Presence in everyone and everything, we can create our own Pandora, here on planet earth. Let’s do it together. Let’s do it NOW.

Until you return, fill your days with GIGGLES, JOY, APPRECIATION and I SEE YOU!
