The Planet Has Chakras Too!

Most of you are familiar with the seven chakras of the body. But did you know there are seven power spots on the earth that are considered to be the chakras of the planet? Do you know where they are?  Maybe you have traveled there.

The first chakra is at the base of the spine on a person. As the root chakra, it is our survival energy. On the planet, this energy is in the Middle East at Mt. Sinai. This area holds a lot of fear and conflict.  As we flood this area with visualizations of peace and getting along with our neighbors, it impacts the energy there. When the energy of conflict resolves itself in the Middle East, that will be the end of conflict on the planet.

The second chakra is at the pubic area. It is the sex chakra, our sexual energy. This is where we integrate our male and female energies and deal with our lower vibrational emotions. On the planet, this energy is in Brazil near the Amazon.  This area of the world energetically is helping to process the lower energies often referred to as our shadow.

The third chakra is at the solar plexus where most of the organs are located. From this chakra comes our intentions and motivations, strength and courage. The solar plexus of the earth is in Africa at Mt. Kilimanjaro.  This area embodies the energy of intention, motivation, courage and strength. This area of the world energetically emits our motivation for life.  The first three chakras are in the lower part of the body and represent our less evolved emotions and attitudes.

The fourth chakra is at the heart where our love pours forth. The more open this chakra is the more loving a person is. The more closed this chakra is the less loving a person is. The heart chakra of the earth is in Hawaii at Haleakala, a volcano on the island of Maui. To be on Maui is to experience the heart opening, so offer no resistance. It is from this place on the planet that unconditional love is being radiated into the collective consciousness.  The dolphins are plentiful here for they assist us in opening our hearts.

The next three chakras are in the upper part of the body and represent our more evolved emotions and attitudes.

The fifth chakra is at the throat. From here, we speak our truth and communicate our thoughts and feelings. The communication chakra of the earth is in Northern California at Mt. Shasta, just south of the Oregon border. Being a higher chakra, the communication coming from Mt. Shasta is  about spirit and the human potential. Some of the very foundational spiritual teachings emanating from America come from the Mt. Shasta area.

The sixth chakra is in the middle of the forehead commonly called the third eye. This is the area of intuition, inner vision and peacefulness. On the planet, this chakra is in the Himalayas, the world’s largest mountain range stretching through India, Pakistan, China, Bhutan and Nepal. For thousands of years, the Himalayan area has been the seat of esoteric knowledge. It is here that the vision for the planet’s future is held.

The seventh chakra is on the top of the head.  Known as the crown chakra, this is where spirit enters matter for integration.  On the planet, this chakra is in Japan, at Fujisan (Mt. Fujiyama). Japan is a gateway between the Eastern and Western philosophies. The Japanese culture has a strong Eastern foundation of spirituality, but it also incorporates the intellect of the West. Fujisan is the focal point on the planet serving to integrate spirit and matter.

So there you have it: the Middle East, Brazil, Africa, Hawaii, America, Himalayas and Japan. These are the chakras or energy centers of the planet. Whenever one of these areas comes to mind, visualize peace and harmony there. That is one way we can actively participate in healing and changing the world.

Until you return, fill your days with GIGGLES, JOY, and APPRECIATION!

Where did you get this information?  Fascinating stuff.

I would disagree with the lower chakras being the less evolved emotions. I would think things are circular; ie, as you evolve, the energies of all the chakras become more highly evolved. The idea that the body and its energies are base, or less worthy has led to hundreds of years of people punishing their bodies as a way to attain higher spiritual awareness.

From my experience, both personal and from watching others apply this concept, I have not seen this to be workable. How about making peace with your body and its energies?  Then asking the body to loosen its grasp on your spirit.  That way, the body gets what it wants, and you get what you want and you have done it through negotiation and harmony.

    Just a thought.

To answer your question, where did I get this information: in 1992,  I printed an article off a website written by Lyssa Royal Holt.  When I tried to go to that website to link her article to my entry, I found that  the  website no longer existed.

As to your perspective on the emotions being lower vs. circular, I like the alternate view.  Thanks for sharing it with everyone.  We all appreciate your input.  And thanks for reading The Spirit of Sylvia.
