A Vacation In Carmel

I just returned from a week in Carmel, California, rested and renewed. My husband, George and I, took a much needed vacation and there is much to share.

First, it took me 4 days of research on the Internet to find the splendid accommodation that I found. So if you are planning a trip to Carmel, here is where to stay: Cozy Carmel Hide-Away, http://www.vrbo.com/37875  We were in one of the quaint neighborhoods of Carmel in a beautiful tree house surrounded by oak trees, beautiful art on the walls, fireplace, kitchen, goose down pillows, attention to detail. We had a grand time and a great rest!

When I asked George what he enjoyed the most, he said “the 17 mile drive” which winds along the ocean from Carmel up into Monterey. It’s a very peaceful, beautiful drive!

My favorite part was just being away with my husband.  He sent me into gales of laughter with his delightful humor every day! We were quite spontaneous with our decisions to go exploring or dining once we managed to emerge from the large, comfortable bed. Every day was a new adventure and every day was fun, fun, fun! I attribute that to our remembering to consciously turn each day over to Spirit before we left our “hide-away”.

If I forget to connect to my Higher Expanded Self at the beginning of a day, it leaves me vulnerable to the energies swirling around in the collective consciousness. But when I remember to connect, Spirit takes over and guides me over-around-and-away-from mishaps and mistakes. It really works.

Another highlight of my vacation was Janet Attwood’s book, The Passion Test.  I have been wanting to read it for a while and this was my opportunity.  When I took the passion test, one of my passions surprised me. When my life is ideal, I am learning something new.  It surprised me because of the huge resistance that arises inside me when faced with learning something new.  And yet, it turned out to be one of my passions.  In light of that revelation, whenever I am confronted with resistance to learning something new, I shall flip it around and remember that I am passionate about learning new things.  Wow, what a change that will make to my experience!

Today is my birthday.  So a big thank you to all my friends and subscribers who send me cards and birthday wishes.  I appreciate you all.  Until you return, fill your days with GIGGLES, JOY, APPRECIATION!
